PERAMBALUR: Collector R. Sudalaikannan inspected the progress of construction of houses at the Periyar Memorial Samathuvapuram coming up at Karai in Alathur panchayat union on Saturday. The samathuvapuram was being established at a cost of Rs.2 crore. He also inspected the progress of work on laying drinking water lines and construction of overhead water tanks at a cost of Rs.8.50 lakh and erection of streetlights at a cost of Rs.4.10 lakh. He later inspected development work being executed at Naranamangalam and Vijayagopalapuram.
