Baby girl found abandoned

A baby girl was found abandoned near the Koyambedu bus stand here on Saturday.

Police said locals heard the cries of the one-day-old infant and alerted the police.

The baby was rescued and handed over to a baby care centre at Aminjikarai.

The Koyambedu police are investigating.
