Three killed in two accidents
TIRUNELVELI: Three persons, including an engineering student, were killed in separate road accidents in the district on Saturday.
The police said S. Karthikeyan (23) of Vickramasingapuram was killed when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus hit the two-wheeler he was riding. Pillion rider M. Ponraj (26) was injured.
Bus driver M. Sivakumar has been arrested.In the second mishap, M. Jegajothi (65) and van driver S. Gomathinayagam (30) were killed when the vehicle dashed against a tractor at Pettai near here. Jegajothi’s husband Muthusamy (70), son M. Srinivasan (31) and daughter-in-law S. Sankari (29) were injured.
The police are on the lookout for the tractor driver. — Staff Reporter
