CHENNAI: Sastra defeated Meenakshi 48-14 in a basketball match in the men’s section of the St. Joseph’s-JETS (annual inter-collegiate sports festival) held here on Saturday.

Sathya shines

T. Sathya (five for 12 and 38 not out) enabled Kannaiah CA beat United CA by nine wickets in the Velammal under-14 cricket tournament recently.

The scores: United CA 110 in 28.2 overs (R. Vignesh Kiran 43, T. Sathya five for 12) lost to Kannaiah CA 112 for one in 21.1 overs (T. Sathya 38 n.o., G. Kendra Babu 26 n.o.).

Cricket camps
