KOZHIKODE: Janata Dal (Secular) State president M.P.Veerendrakumar said here on Sunday that neither the LDF nor the CPI(M) had offered a Rajya Sabha seat to his party during the seat-sharing discussions. Mr. Veerendrakumar was here to inaugurate the birth anniversary celebrations of the late Socialist leader Arangil Sreedharan. He said the Wayanad seat was offered to the JD(S) after having committed the seat to the CPI. He denied allegations that his party had held secret talks with the UDF. “It was CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat who had openly stated that a tie-up with the Congress would be considered after May 16, when the results are out,” he said.
