BSP nominee to avoid fanfare

VISAKHAPATNAM: Contrary to filing nominations with fanfare, BSP candidate for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency I.M. Ahmed has asked his supporters not to turn up when he files the papers.

Mr. Ahmed is filing the papers on Monday, the last day for nominations, at 11.30 a.m. He said people in general and those coming to King George Hospital and the Collector’s office in particular would be put to inconvenience if processions were taken out, a public show of strength was organised or crackers were burst. Parties should avoid fanfare that would cause inconvenience to others and as a beginning, he would file the nomination accompanied by only four persons, Mr. Ahmed said.
