Enrolment as Area Suraksha Mitra

Bangalore: Civil Defence is enrolling volunteers and will train them in neighbourhood security. To volunteer as an Area Suraksha Mitra, one must be at least 18 years old, must be a registered voter, without any criminal record, have a high sense of integrity and a spirit of volunteerism. By volunteering, candidates will be eligible for honorary appointment for Civil Defence services, which is a Union Government organisation.

They will also be eligible for commendation/ medals conferred by DGP, Chief Minister and President in recognition of meritorious work. Certificates will be handed out to wardens that will give them priority for appointment in government and civil services.
