Bolangir has highest number of voters in State

BHUBANESWAR: About 1,26,38,486 voters would exercise their franchise in the first phase elections to be held for 10 Lok Sabha constituencies and 70 Assembly seats in the State on April 16.

Bolangir Lok Sabha constituency has the highest voters with 1441196 while Kandhamal, where communal violence had broken out recently, has 1063531 voters, the lowest in terms of number of voters.

The CEO office said 230 polling booths would be set up in Birmaharajpur assembly constituency, 278 in Sonepur, 267 in Loisingha, 312 in Patnagarh, 235 in Bolangir, 267 in Titlagarh and 298 in Kantabanjhi under Bolangir Lok Sabha constituency.
