Krishnaiah accused of poll violation

KOLAR: The Mulbagal police have registered a case against district in-charge Minister S.N. Krishnaiah Shetty in connection with a reported poll code violation.

The action was taken following a report by Assistant Returning Officer and Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies Department M.C. Srinivasaiah, that Mr. Shetty had been violating the code.

They said that Mr. Shetty had addressed a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party workers on the premises of Sri Maha Ganapathi temple at Kurudumale in Mulbagal taluk on March 20.

Mulbagal MLA M. Amaresh and Block Congress president M. Ramalinga Reddy had filed a complaint in this regard.
