CHANDIGARH: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Singh Chautala said on Tuesday that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was “disintegrating at the national level as even its partners have realized that the Congress is a sinking ship and nobody wants to board it.” In a statement, the INLD secretary general said that many political parties like Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lok Janshakti Party and Samajwadi Party had left the Congress- led UPA alliance recently and were contesting against the Congress candidates in U.P. and Bihar. Another UPA ally-the PMK-- had also joined the AIDMK alliance. He further said that the National Democratic Alliance was the only alternative to the UPA and there was a “strong NDA wave” as the people wanted change.
