Government hospitals inspected

Collector T.Soundiah conducted surprise inspections at the government hospitals at Srirangam, Omanthur and Thuraiyur in the district on Tuesday.

Mr.Soundiah inspected the out patients, maternity and paediatric wards, laboratories, medicine stocks and the HIV/AIDS testing centres at the hospitals.

He also checked the new equipment supplied to the hospitals.

The Joint Director of Medical and Rural Health Services M.Poongothai, Deputy Director (Tuberculosis) Abdul Samad and other officials accompanied the Collector.
