Jineesh sparkled with an unbeaten 67 as BPCL Kochi Refinery Cricket Academy thrashed Cycle Brand Kids CC (Thiruvananthapuram) by 103 runs and entered the quarterfinals of the third Muthoot Pappachan Foundation all-Kerala Twenty20 cricket tournament at the BPCL KR Ground, Ambalamugal, on Tuesday. In the other matches, Mattancherry’s MYCA defeated Chittoor CC by 12 runs and entered the pre-quarterfinals while Ernakulam’s DIESL crushed Thrissur’s AG’s Office Staff RC by eight wickets and marched into the third round. The scores: BPCL Kochi Refinery CA 179 for two in 20 overs (P.M. Jineesh 67 n.o., S. Laxman 46, M. Fathil 35 n.o.) bt Cycle Brand Kids CC 76 in 14.4 overs (Jeffin Oscar four for three, Praveen Kumar three for 14). MYCA (Mattancherry) 151 for seven in 20 overs (S. Suresh 47, Unnikrishnan three for 30) bt Chittoor CC (Ernakulam) 139 for nine in 20 overs (Vineeth Kumar 42, Vimal Kumar three for 29).
