MTS mobile service launched

KOCHI: Sistema Shyam Teleservices Limited (SSTL) has announced the commencement of services in Kerala under its MTS brand. Kerala is its third service area after Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

MTS services will be available in 117 towns across Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram.

By the end of June, MTS will be present in 300 towns and by July it will extend its services to almost 400 towns of Kerala.

MTS is the latest entrant in the Indian mobile telephony market. SSTL is a joint venture between Sistema of Russia and Shyam Group of India. As part of an inaugural offer, subscribers utilising MTS services will be offered million minutes free talk time.
