Chamber show

Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, will organise the sixth edition of Chamber Show 2009 from October 1 to 4 at Sri Ramakrishna Kalyana Mandapam, Coimbatore. A committee headed by V. Lakshmi-narayanaswamy, Managing Director of Suguna Group, will organise the event.

The association has entered into an agreement with a Channel Partner.

Jewellery, textiles, financial products, automobiles and industrial products made in this region will be displayed.

Association formed

A group of about 600 units located in and around Ganapathy area in Coimbatore have formed the “Ganapathy Industries and Traders Welfare Association.”

The region comprising Ganapathy, Rathinapuri, Peelamedu, Aavarampalayam, Chinnavedampatty, Manikarampalayam, Kannappa Nagar, Saravanampatty and Bharathi Nagar has thousands of units.

Some of the small and micro units need assistance in finance and quality improvement. The association aims at providing this service to the members.

It proposes to form a cluster of the units in the locality.

The office-bearers of the association are O.P. Ponnusamy of Universal Engineers (president); K. Sampath Kumar of Kay Pee Engineering (secretary); B. Rajavel of Sri Ganesh Industries, A. Saravanan of Nirmal Pipes and R. Suresh of Geometric Machining Solutions (vice-presidents) and S. Durai of Kalaivani Industries (treasurer).

Felicitation

S.K. Roy, Executive Director of LIC of India, visited the Ramnagar Branch of City Union Bank recently to participate in the BIMA Bank function. According to a release, the bank is one of the corporate agents of LIC.

The Ramnagar branch has achieved BIMA Bank recognition for the fifth time this year.
