BJP Yuva Morcha campaign

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Yuva Morcha plans to take up the issue of Indian black money in secret and numbered Swiss banks, to bolster the issue raised by BJP’s prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani recently.

Mr. Advani had drawn attention to the issue, months after the government had written to German tax authorities to share information with it and weeks after the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Janata Dal (United) took it up publicly.

Party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar remained unperturbed on Saturday when asked why the BJP was not able to flag its own issues rather than take up those raised by other parties. “The next Prime Minister will not be from the CPI(M) or the JD(U) but from the BJP and Mr. Advani has taken up the issue,” he said.

Yuva Morcha president Amit Thakar said that via e-mails and questionnaires, young people would be asked whether they thought the BJP or the Congress would be able to get the black money back to India.
