Three districts to go to polls in first phase on April 16 YSR to tour Krishna, Khammam, Warangal districts HYDERABAD: Congress president Sonia Gandhi will address three public meetings in the State within a span of five hours on April 7. Travelling by helicopter, Ms. Gandhi will go to Karimnagar (11 a.m.), Bhongir (12 noon) and Vizianagaram (3p.m.). All these districts will go to polls in the first phase of elections on April 16. Party sources said efforts were on to invite Ms. Gandhi for another round of electioneering before April 16 in other districts. AICC leader Vayalar Ravi will arrive here on April 6 to discuss the election preparedness with the party leaders at Gandhi Bhavan and stay back to attend the rallies of Ms.Gandhi. An APCC press release issued here on Saturday said Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will tour Krishna, Khammam and Warangal districts on Sunday and Monday. ItineraryAccording to his itinerary, Dr. Reddy will commence his campaign from Aithavaram in Krishna district and cover Tiruvur, Kallur (Khammam district), Narasampet, Mulugu and Parkal (Warangal district) on Sunday. After night halt, he will address road shows in Shayampet, Hanmakonda, Waradhannpet, Station Ghanpur, Palakurthy, Thorrur and Warangal. He will return to the city on April 7 and accompany Ms. Gandhi during her electioneering in Karimnagar, Bhongir and Vizianagaram.
