EVMs despatched to constituencies

KOCHI: The district administration has started despatching the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) to various assembly constituencies. Each consignment will have 10 ballot units and control units. These consignments will be given security numbers also. Nearly 2,300 EVMs including reserve machines will be sent to 1,996 polling booths. The district administration has also a reserve of another 1,500 machines.

The setting of the ballots in the machine will begin from April 8.
