Clean public places

The Election Commission is taking excellent steps by asking the candidates to disclose their assets while filing nominations, and keeping a tab on candidates’ canvassing and derogatory speeches, if any. However, the Commission seems to have forgotten about cleaning public places after political parties conduct their meetings. Probably, this aspect has missed the attention of the Commission and the officials concerned. So, they should make it a rule that the political parties have to pay user charges for cleaning the public places. Likewise, the political parties could deposit some amount with the authorities. The parties could clean the public place within 12 hours after meeting to claim back the deposit.

Punctuality issue

The other day I went to the LIC of India, Vuyyuru branch to pay premium. The cash/cheque counters were not opened till 10.15 a.m. The office wore a deserted look as the staff did not turn up in time. The punctuality leaves an impression among the people about the government institutions. I request the LIC authorities to set right the situation in the office of LIC of India Vuyyuru branch, and see that staff is punctual in duties.

Naidu’s tactics

TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu leaves no stone unturned to grab power. He overthrew his father-in-law immediately after 1994 elections. Now, he betrayed the Left parties’ and the TRS leaders.

He consciously fielded the TDP candidates in Assembly segments which were promised to the CPI, the CPI (M) and the TRS.

It is against the coalition dharma. People should take these aspects into account before voting.
