TIRUCHI: The STED (Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development) Industry Promoted Entrepreneurship Club (SIPEC) formed in the district with support from the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSMEDI), Chennai, and the Vellore Institute of Technology, and advisory support from the Tiruchi District Tiny and Small Scale Industries’ Association – STED, has expressed keenness to register micro and small scale industries with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Government of India.
In a statement issued here today, the Secretary of SIPEC R. Manoharan said that units registering with the NSIC will enjoy various benefits including preferences for purchase of their products by Government of India enterprises, and exemption from payment of tender document cost for all tenders of Government of India, and payment of Earnest Money Deposit.
The application for NSIC registration has to be submitted through the MSMEDI. The SIPEC will make registration simpler, monitoring the inspection process and facilitating bulk registration of industrial units. For more information, contact Mr. Manoharan at the dial of 0431 – 2331826 / 6456253.
