KADAPA: Twenty one candidates remained in fray from Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency with only one nomination of Palem Supriya Reddy, wife of Telugu Desam Party’s Kadapa Lok Sabha candidate Palem Srikanth Reddy, being rejected in scrutiny on Monday. AlternativeThe B form submitted by Telugu Desam Party mentioned that Mr. Srikanth Reddy was the main candidate and his wife Ms. Supriya Reddy was an alternative and hence her nomination was rejected after the papers of the main candidate were found to be in order, according to returning officer Shashi Bhushan Kumar. Candidates whose nominations were valid were Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy (Congress), Palem Srikanth Reddy (TDP), S.A. Khaleel Basha (Praja Rajyam), V. Sashibhushan Reddy (BJP), J. Muni Reddy (BSP), N. Kishore Kumar Reddy (JD-S), C. Gopi Narasimha Reddy (JD-U), K. Venkatasubba Reddy (Rayalaseema Rashtra Samithi), G. Prasanna Kumar (Lok Satta), K. Sainath Sarma (Rajyadhikara Party), K. Chinnapu Reddy (Bharatiya Jana Shakti), Y. Sekhar Reddy (RPI), G. Ramasubba Reddy (Pyramid Party of India) and eight independents. ObserversElection observers – Thubdan Gomphel Negi, F.B. Singh, Swaran Singh and Dhananjay Dwivedi, Kadapa MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, Telugu Desam Party district vice-president M. Venkataswamy Reddy and Praja Rajyam leaders Neeli Srinivasa and Ahmed were present during scrutiny of nominations.
