ALAPPUZHA: Communist Marxist Party (CMP) leader M.V. Raghavan has said that the Third Front is a communion of opportunists. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr. Raghavan said the Left parties in the country should realize the futility of such a front and withdraw from the idea.The Third Front would only lead to the downfall of the Left forces, he said, adding that the LDF in the State was not strong enough to take on the UDF Fascist partyStating that the CPI (M) had changed from its Marxist moorings to become more of a fascist party, Mr. Raghavan said the LDF should not protest against the prosecution of CPI (M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan in the SNC Lavalin case if they were honest about the Rs.600 crore Israeli arms deal allegations against Defence Minister A.K. Antony.
