dated April 7, 1959: Dolls exhibition

Dolls from 50 countries, including our own, will be on show at Rajaji Hall Mount Road, from April 7. They have been brought here by Mr. Shanker, the well-known cartoonist and Editor of Shanker’s Weekly. Mr. Shanker said that he started collecting dolls since 1954. Over 3,000 were in his possession. The dolls are a fine collection and representative of the art of many nations.
