Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: U.S. Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke will arrive here on Tuesday to discuss the situation in the two countries. Mr. Holbrooke will be here after visiting Kabul and Islamabad.

He is scheduled to meet Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon and National Security Adviser M.K. Narayanan.

His visit comes after several international interactions on the Afghan problem and U.S. President Barack Obama bringing out a new policy on Afghanistan.

India was an active participant at these international meetings and is also one of the largest donor countries for reconstruction of Afghanistan.
