BCs to form political party

HYDERABAD: A meeting of 36 Backward Classes organisations here on Monday resolved to form a political party specially for BCs under the leadership of R. Krishnaiah, president, AP State BC Welfare Association.

The meeting criticised the three main parties—Congress, Telugu Desam and Praja Rajyam—for letting down the backward classes after making promises to give a majority tickets to candidates belonging to various BC communities.
