Complaint lodged with EC against Vijayashanti

SANGAREDDY: Alleging that election code was violated by M. Vijayashanti, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) candidate for Medak Lok Sabha seat, the Andhra Pradesh Election Watch Group on Monday lodged a complaint with the district election officer.
Referring to a road show of Ms. Vijayashanti at Narayanaraopet village on April 5, they quoted her as saying, “the Congress party is distributing money to voters.”
Members of the organisation alleged that she not only made a false allegation but also encouraged voters to collect money from the Congress and vote for her.
Watch Group members M. Vishnuvardhan and M. Karunakar Reddy urged the officials to take action against Ms. Vijayashanti.
