BANGALORE: “Nadhi Yeradara Naduve,” a novel by B. Prabhakar Shishila of Sullia, has bagged “Masti Kadamb-ari Puraskar” first prize instituted by the Dr. Masti Venkatesha Iyengar Trust, Kolar, and Masti Prashasti Samiti. The award comprises of a cash prize of Rs. 30,000. “Terane-leya Bara Thangi” by Damayanti Naregalla of Dharwad secured the second prize (Rs. 25,000), Ravi Sasitota’s “Stityanthara” bagged the third prize (Rs. 20,000) and “Raja Odeyar” by P. Abdul Sattar of Pandavapura was chosen for the special award (Rs. 15,000). The awards will be presented in May, according to a press release. — Staff Reporter
