PALAKKAD: Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary Veliyam Bhargavan has accused the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying to divide the people on communal and religious lines. Speaking at an election rally at Nalleppilly, near here, on Thursday, Mr. Bhargavan said the RSS was the creation of British imperialists who ruled the country for centuries. When the BJP was in power at the Centre, we had seen how the RSS and other Hindutva forces tried to divide the people on religious lines. They were still continuing that policy, Mr. Bhargavan said.
