Goa announces liquor curbs at election time

PANAJI: Goa has set restrictions on possession of liquor during the Lok Sabha elections — from 5 p.m., April 21 to 5 p.m., April 23, and on May 16. The two constituencies in the State go to the polls on April 23.

The maximum that can be transported or possessed within the municipal area of Panaji and Margao is: three quart bottles of IMFL, six bottles of beer, and three quart bottles of country liquor for a family.
