Eloquent: Big 92.7 FM launches an awareness campaign on positive voting with an ‘animal rally’ on Thursday.

HYDERABAD: It was a procession with a difference. It is now the turn of animals to create awareness about ‘positive voting’ among the electorate.

The ‘Animal Rally’ was flagged off on Thursday morning by I.V. Subba Rao, Chief Electoral Officer from People’s Plaza. It was organised by Big 92.7 FM as part of their ‘You have the Right, Vote for the Right’ campaign which began on April 1.

The campaign encourages voters to think and cast their vote for the ‘right’ candidate. Over 10 radio jockeys (RJs) participated in the show.

Unique

“Animals can’t speak, neither can they vote. But we can think, speak and vote for the right candidate,” said RJ Chetan, Many passersby thought this was a civilised way of putting things. “At least it doesn’t involve blaring loudspeakers or drums. It’s quiet, unique and effective,” said Rahul Reddy, a motorist.
