Panel extends public hearing till April 17

CHENNAI: The Sundaradevan Committee, constituted by the government to enquire into the police action on the Madras High Court campus in February and fix responsibility for alleged excesses, has extended the public hearings till April 17, according to a press release issued on Thursday.

The committee from March 24 to April 9 had held public hearing for five days and 61 persons deposed before the committee, which included police and fire departments personnel.
