SI, ASI among seven injured in group clash

KADAPA: Pendlimarry SI Easwara Reddy and ASI Ramachandraiah were among the seven injured in a group clash between Congress and TDP activists and pelting of stones in Machanur village in Pendlimarry mandal of Kamalapuram Assembly segment on Wednesday, leading to opening of two rounds of fire in the air. Pendlimarry police, who registered a case, on Thursday seized 13 vehicles which were part of the TDP convoy that went to Machanur.

Kadapa Superintendent of Police D.S. Chauhan lauded Pendlimarry SI for quelling clashing mobs in Machanur and said his case was recommended for a good service entry reward. He demanded SC/ST case booked against TDP activists who attacked Congressmen in Machanur.
