11 killed in road accident

SANGAREDDY: Eleven persons were killed in separate road accidents in Medak district on Friday.

In the first case, nine persons were killed at Yavapoor village in Toopran mandal when a lorry hit an autorickshaw coming in the opposite side. Seven of them travelling in the auto died on the spot while two others succumbed while being shifted to the government hospital at Gajwel. The victims were identified as Manney Swamy (auto driver), B. Sushila (57), Lakshmi (38), Navin (8), Kanakaiah (45), B. Pocahaiah (50), Sattemma (40), B. Sugunamma (40) and Mallikarjun (7). The bodies were shifted to the government hospital at Gajwel and were handed over relatives after post-mortem.

In another road accident at Sadasivapet, two motorcyclists died on the spot when a lorry hit them. They were identified as Nagappa (24) and Shivaji (23) of Bidar.
