Airline plans Chennai-Kolkata daily flight
Staff Reporter
KOLKATA: Paramount Airways, India’s first all business class airline, is planning to commence daily flights on the Chennai-Kolkata sector by this month end.
A press release from the Chennai-based airline said the connectivity is part of its foray into the north-eastern sector.
The flight will also connect Guwahati and Agartala. The operation is expected to start from April 22.
The flight from here is scheduled to take off at 1.25 p.m. and reach Chennai at 3.30 p.m. The airline hopes that the timing will be convenient to passengers flying to southern destinations as they can avail connecting flights to Madurai, Coimbatore, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchi, Bangalore and Hyderabad from Chennai. Paramount Airways director M. Thiagarajan met West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee a month ago and held discussions.
