‘Mutual cooperation’ is keyword here

M. Rajeev

RAJAM (Srikakulam Dt): Erstwhile colleagues in the Telugu Desam Party, former Speaker K. Pratibha Bharathi and former Minister K. Kala Venkata Rao, who is now in Praja Rajyam, are beset with exchanged Assembly constituencies, thanks to delimitation.

Ms. Pratibha Bharathi is contesting from Rajam (SC) while Mr. Kala Venkata Rao is the PR candidate from Etcherla . Rajam was the bastion of Mr. Rao

With considerable number of loyalists remaining unchanged in the two constituencies, ‘mutual cooperation’ is said to have become inevitable for both the contestants. Denying this, Ms. Pratibha Bharati, said the TDP would emerge victorious in the two segments as they were its strongholds since inception and that the PR would not have any impact on the prospects of the TDPs.

Criticising Mr. Venkata Rao, she said people would not accept leaders who quit their parent party after enjoying several high positions when the party was in power.
