Syed Nasir Ali dead

NEW DELHI: Former Delhi footballer and administrator Syed Nasir Ali died on Sunday morning following a cardiac arrest. He was 60.

He was the secretary of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) from 1994 to 2002. He was also an executive member of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and a member of the ONGC I-League committee. He had played for City Club and Mughals Sports Club, apart from Aligarh Muslim University.

The DSA president, Subhash Chopra, and the secretary, N.K. Bhatia, condoled the death. — Special Correspondent
