When a property needs to be name transferred due to change of ownership, the present system of sending applications to each and every department is indeed a cumbersome procedure. The Government could think of abolishing this type of burden on the part of the person seeking name transfer by introducing a comprehensive form in the office of the Sub Registrars/Registrars to change the registry of the property in respect of its new owner for property tax, drinking water assessment, electricity current meter service, telephone and the survey revenue patta. Asmabagh Anvardeen, Ramanathapuram. Control mosquito menaceEven in summer the mosquito menace is high in Ramanathapuram town. This menace may generate epidemics like brain fever and malaria. So it would be helpful if the Municipal authorities arrange to spray massive chemical/smoke all over the town immediately. G. Nagasamy, Ramanathapuram. Attach more coaches in Rameswaram trainThe Madurai–Rameswaram local train is run with only eight coaches. The bus fare from Paramakudi to Madurai is Rs. 22, but the train fare is only Rs.14. The public mostly prefer to travel by train and hence there is a heavy rush. To meet out the extra rush, I request the authorities to attach more coaches in the said train. V. Rajendran, Paramakudi. Relax age limit for IT assesseesThe Indian Railways and banking industry consider those who are 60 years and above as senior citizens, whereas the Income Tax department extends the concession of senior citizenship only to those aged 65 and above. I hope the Central Government will remove this anomaly soon by reducing the age limit to 60 years for Income Tax assessees also. M.S. Raghavan, Dindigul. Help mental patients, visitors, touristsThe reopening of broad gauge train service between main land and Rameswaram Island is bringing not only a large number of pilgrims and tourists, but also patients with mental problems. The uncared mental patients are freely roaming on the streets and causing problems to the visitors. Some are violent. Their numbers are increasing day by day. It is a common sight here that the mentally affected persons are wandering without proper dress. When this problem was reported, then collector of Ramnathapuram R. Kirloshkumar assured of immediate action and announced formation of a committee. He said an asylum would be opened soon. Nothing has happened so far. I request the authorities concerned to take immediate action to check this menace. N. Jeyakanthan Rameswaram.
