Multiple voter identity cards: two booked

THENI: Cases were filed against two voters, M. Ravi of Thevaram and N. Ramesh of Krishnampatti villages, on the charges of having two elector photo identity card issued by the election offices in Theni district and Idukki district in Kerala, according to Collector P. Muthuveeran.
In a release here on Monday, he said both voters who have two voter identity cards in Kerala and Tamil Nadu should come forward and surrender one of them to the respective tahsildars or municipal commissioners. They have the right to choose the place of voting.
If officials spot voters with two EPICs during surprise checks, criminal proceedings would be taken against them, he warned.
