Polling booths inspected

TIRUVARUR: The Collector, M. Chandrasekaran, who is also the returning officer for Nagapattinam Lok Sabha constituency, inspected polling booths in Nannilam Assembly segment in Nagapattinam Lok Sabha Constituency on Sunday.

He saw the polling booths at Alathur, Maruthavakodu, Adampar, Vishnupuram, Koothanur, Pudukudi and Narasingampettai villages in the constituency. He checked whether drinking water and toilet facilities were available in the booths. He also found out whether arrangements like ramps have been provided for helping physically handicapped persons to exercise their franchise.

He inspected all the 1,210 polling booths in the constituency comprising of Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thiruthuraipoondi, Vedaranyam, Keelvelur and Nannilam Assembly segments.
