Flashing a smile: Congress candidate from North-West Delhi constituency Krishna Tirath on her way to file nomination papers in the Capital on Monday. NEW DELHI: Krishna Tirath, sitting Member of Parliament and Congress candidate from the North-West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, filed her nomination papers in Ashok Vihar here on Monday. Accompanied by a large number of supporters, Ms. Tirath filed her nomination papers at the office of the Returning Officer in Nimri Colony around noon. According to an affidavit declaring her movable and immovable assets, Ms. Tirath has Rs.1.5 lakh in cash while her husband has Rs.1.2 lakh. She has over Rs.24.69 lakh and her husband has more than Rs.23.29 lakh in deposits in banks, financial institutions and non-banking financial companies. GoldThe Congress candidate has over Rs.4.55 lakh and her husband has Rs.5.90 lakh under the head of other financial instruments like Life Insurance Corporation policies. She has 1.325 kg of gold worth about Rs.15.50 lakh and 5.180 kg of silver worth about Rs.10 lakh. Her husband owns gold worth Rs.3 lakh. Ms. Tirath owns a 440 square metres residential plot worth about Rs.40 lakh in Gurgaon and her husband has two residential houses in Shalimar Bagh and Karol Bagh, each valued at about Rs.40 lakh. She owns a Wagon-R car.
