‘Missing’ girls back home

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Three minor girls who have been reported missing from Ayanavaram since April 11 returned home late on Monday.

According to police, the girls who were undergoing a vocational course in a private training institute at Villivakkam, did not return home since Saturday evening.

Preliminary enquiries revealed that the girls had gone on a picnic with their friends to Andhra Pradesh.

A special team was formed to investigate the case.

“The girls, who had earlier informed their parents not to look for them, came back”, a police official said.

He added that further investigation was on.
