Mani Ratnam admitted to hospital

CHENNAI: Director Mani Ratnam was admitted to Apollo Hospitals late Tuesday evening after he complained of chest discomfort. According to a hospital bulletin, his condition is stable. He is expected to remain in hospital for a day. Sources close to the director’s family said that it was just a routine check-up. The doctors had advised complete rest for a couple of days.

The 52-year-old directoris currently involved in a project starring actors Vikram, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, among others.
