NEW DELHI: An all-round performance by Saksham Nangia (26 and four for five) helped Mishra Sports to a six-wicket victory over Young Boys Academy in a pool ‘B’ league match of the fifth Pelicans under-14 cricket tournament at the Central Secretariat ground, Vinay Marg, on Thursday. In another match, Young Friends recorded a four-wicket victory over Rohtak Road Gymkhana. However, Rohtak Road Gymkhana and Young Friends qualified for the semifinals on better run rate, edging out Mishra Sports. The scores: Young Boys Academy 82 in 33 overs (Devender Kumar 28, Saksham Nangia four for five, Ankit Mishra three for 24) lost to Mishra Sports 83 for four in 8.5 overs (Saksham Nangia 26, Gaurav Khamboj four for 22). Rohtak Road Gymkhana 203 for eight in 40 overs (Jatin Dalal 66, Akash Yadav 45, Sudhir Kumar three for 40) lost to Young Friends 204 for six in 37.5 overs (Deepak Hooda 48, Mukul Kumar 46, Sudhir Kumar 32 not out).
