Assumes office

N. Somasundaram on Thursday took charge as the new Chief Engineer (distribution) of the Madurai Region of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB). Formerly the Chief Engineer of Villupuram Region, Mr. Somasundaram has served in the TNEB for around 30 years. The Madurai Region comprises the five districts of Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Sivaganga, and Ramanathapuram. The previous Chief Engineer, K. Balasubramanian, retired on March 31.
