Arrested with fake US notes

CHENNAI: The Guindy police on Wednesday night arrested one person for attempting to exchange two fake US currency notes in a hotel.

Police said P. Sulthan (29) of Chennai gave two 100-dollar notes to the front office manager of the hotel on Anna Salai and sought Indian currency in exchange.

After the notes were found fake, the hotel staff alerted the police who arrested Sulthan. Four fake dollars were seized from the accused. Sulthan was produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody.
