Numeric to set up solar project in Coimbatore

NEW DELHI: Numeric Power Systems will be setting up a Rs. 25 crore 1-MW solar project in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, through its newly established subsidiary, Numeric Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. The company is also planning to invest in LED lighting systems projects and make foray into the precision air-conditioning space with a strategic partner.

According to Numeric Managing Director R. Chellappan, the company would buy solar cells from suppliers in Japan and Germany and configure panel modules and assemble them.

“We are pioneer in solar energy system and have installed a 1.1 kWp solar power generation system at its fabrication plant in Chennai in 1995.

We have installed about 200 kWp of solar power generation system and commissioned successfully for its captive power generation besides over 100 installations for many banks and other customers,” he added.
