Free bundle offers accompany every purchase, says Manager

Tech choice: Customers at the ‘Computer Carnival’ in Madurai on Saturday.

MADURAI: For all those families, young professionals and internet savvy children wanting to equip themselves with the latest computer model, computer major, HP Compaq, is conducting a two-day computer carnival here.

Featuring both high-end and low-end models, the HP Compaq is holding the carnival for the first time in Madurai.

In order to sweeten the purchase for consumers, Compaq is giving away free bundle offers with every purchase, according to G. Chandramouli, Area Sales Manager.

Such shows have been held at Kochi, Coimbatore, Mangalore, Ludhiana, Shillong, Jhansi, Jaipur, Guwahati, Agra, Kota, Mysore, Shimla and Siliguri.

Atom, part of the show

Desktops and laptops featuring the Atom Processor, the name for a new family of low-power processors, also find a place here.

The Atom Processor-powered internet-centric desktop devices are primarily intended to increase broadband penetration.

Wide range

The carnival offers customers a peek into the most advanced and affordable new range of HP Compaq notebooks and desktops packed with technological innovations. Products on display include Intel Core 2 Duo processors, HDMI Port, eSATA Port, Hard disk Protection Guard, Dual Layer DVD drive and Wide screen Bright View displays, according to a press release.

While the starting price for laptops is Rs. 22,490, desktops start at Rs. 17,990.

Being organised at Hotel Royal Court on West Veli Street, the expo concludes on Sunday. It will be open between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
