HYDERABAD: An alleged incident of obscenity involving the staff member of a Minister in the Secretariat drew severe criticism from the opposition parties – TDP and the CPI -- on Sunday. A TDP delegation led by party leader K. Ramamohana Rao took the incident reported in a vernacular daily to the notice of CEO I.V. Subba Rao while the CPI demanded that the official concerned and those who cooperated with him be sacked forthwith. The TDP demanded that Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy tender unconditional apology to women owning moral responsibility. Moral degenerationAddressing a press conference here, TDP leaders -- K. Yerran Naidu, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu and P. Chandrasekhar – said it reflected “moral degeneration” of the Congress. CPI State secretary K. Narayana, in a statement, said the Chief Minister and the Minister concerned should apologise to the people taking responsibility for the incident besides initiating measures to ensure that such incidents did not recur.
