“Not averse to joining Third Front govt.”

Special Correspondent

Panaji: “The Left parties are not averse to joining a Third Front government to ensure its stability, if the formation comes to power post-election,” stated A. B. Bardhan, general secretary of Communist Party of India here on Tuesday.

Addressing journalists here during campaigning, Mr. Bardhan, however, emphatically ruled out the Left’s help to the Congress to form a government because, he said, “We broke out on the question of policy. Not personal fights.”

Mr. Bardhan exuded confidence that it would not only maintain its strength of 61 but also could add to it despite minor losses expected in Kerala and West Bengal.
