Serious charge levelled
Special Correspondent
Bangalore: The Congress candidate for Bangalore South Parliamentary constituency, Krishna Byre Gowda, levelled a serious charge that nearly 15,000 voters of Bommanahalli in the constituency were missing. Though their names were found in the voters’ list, such voters were physically not traceable. Mr. Krishna Byre Gowda, who has complained to the Election Commission, told The Hindu: “It is obvious that the BJP plans to indulge in large-scale malpractices. It could be a case of using the voter ID cards to prevent the legitimate voters of a given party from casting their vote, or using the ID cards to cast votes in favour of the BJP candidate. We are keeping a close watch on all the vulnerable pockets in the constituency.”
