Duty orders to be issued to 275 micro-observers

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Manojkumar Meena has said that steps have been taken to issue duty orders to 275 micro-observers in Chamarajanagar district . In a release here on Monday, Mr. Meena said that the randomisation of 102 micro-observers for Mysore district and 275 micro-observers for Chamarajanagar district had been done under the supervision of election observers. He said that nearly 2,309 central government employees would work as micro-observers and supervise 248 sensitive and hyper-sensitive polling booths in Chamarajanagar constituency. He said the Election Commission has made provisions allowing for people to show eight other documents in order to be able to exercise their franchise. The documents are student identity card issued by recognised educational institutions, ration card issued before February 28, photo-affixed canteen card issued to ex-military persons, photo-affixed Sandya Suraksha identity card, Yashaswini card, service identity card issued by town muncipality, corporation and gram panchayat, photo-affixed identity card issued by Government to senior citizens and temporary ration card issued by Food and Civil Supplies department.
